Lauren grew up in Southern Idaho, where she was an active member of her local 4-H horse club. After finishing her bachelor's degree in biology, Lauren moved to Eastern Washington, where she began working at a mixed animal veterinary practice with a heavy focus on equine reproduction. While there, Lauren had the chance to work with a wide range of horses from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines.  When Lauren is not working, she enjoys working with her horse, a 6 year old Paint named Smudge, participating in dog sports, and hiking with her husband.
